Free2move offers Evaluation Kits for active and passive RFID as well as sensor and actuation applications.
These include Free2move's passive ISO 18000-6c (EPC Class 1 Generation 2) readers and the RFIDS™ active RFID family.
A sensor application is when a tag mounted sensor - e.g. a temperature, humidity, vibration sensor or simple switch or tilt sensor - provides sensor status to the reader based on which decisions can be made. An actuation application is when the reader sends a command to the tag for it to execute a certain external function, e.g. turning on a LED, opening a lock or setting a relay.
The Evaluation Kits make it easy to perform demonstrations, survey sites, evaluate requirements fulfilment and develop application software. They are also used for education and research at colleges, universities and research institutions.
The Kits are plug & play and will require only a PC or notebook running Windows XP/7 (or Windows Mobile/CE whenever applicable) with USB, RS232 or Bluetooth® interface. All Kits contain an evaluation application as well as application interface specification.
