| The Gemia™ is a lightweight ISO 18000-6c (EPC Class 1 Generation 2) compliant RFID
reader with Bluetooth® interface and built-in battery and antenna. Gemia™ can be connected to any host supporting Bluetooth® serial port profile, such as laptops and
handheld computers. An easy to use application programming interface allows for fast application development. |
| Using Gemia™ with laptop computers |
Gemia™ can be easily paired with standard computer laptops via its Bluetooth® interface. A desktop holder accessory can be fitted to the Gemia™ for convenient access. An evaluation kit available from Free2move includes an evaluation application. The application supports identifying RFID tags and manipulating the EPC memory and the user memory of the tag. It also allows setting passwords and other parameters.
When purchasing Gemia™, Free2move provides a user manual for setting up Gemia™ with notebooks running Windows XP & 7. An evaluation application and source code examples are also provided.
