Yes, yes, yes. Using RFID in an electronic fence application provides good asset security. BUT...only as long as the TAG remains fixed to the asset. The wireless lock TAG detects and sends off an alert message if someone tries to remove it from the asset. Datasheets here. Enquiry here. |

Notebook tracking and security
Siemens & Free2move have announced the deployment of Siemens Wireless Asset Tracking (SWAT) at Siemens’ Malaysian headquarters in Petaling Jaya, outside Kuala Lumpur. The system involves passive RFID personnel cards combined with long range active RFID tags to allow asset movements to be controlled according to a central policy. Such controlled movements can be whether to allow an asset to exit from a secured zone. This first deployment encompasses up to 700 computer notebooks and 10 doors. |
